Why are the pears always hard in fruit cocktail? But if you buy a can of JUST pears they are soft? The hard pears are why I don"t like fruit cocktail.

It’s because pears are the root of all evil..
The pears mission on this earth was to bring you down and make you hate this wonderful, delicious concoction of fruit !!
It just is…
then eat every thing but the pears
the acid from the other fruits cause the pears to soften.
That is you problem..
I don’t like the green grapes..or currents whatever..
BUT
they use a brand of pear the is very firm to prevent it going mushy..
thats kinda gross if you think about it. what do they do to it to make it hard, are they just harvested sooner?
You must really like pears to have a question like this… lol. I personally think this is an interesting question.
