How many educational degrees are there? Can you please name them and explain what the educational requirements are for each? For example: an AA is an associates degree and usually requires 2 years of schooling or so many units.
What are the different types of Degrees available for school?

An associate’s "degree" is a two year degree, usually vocational in nature rather than what most would consider a a college degree.
What most would think of as "a college degree" would be a bachelor’s degree, which usually takes four years of full-time study — 8 full-time semesters — to gain, though some stretch it out longer, due to only attending part-time, or doing a double major, or simply from poor planning.
There are higher, postgraduate degrees, once you have achieved a bachelor’s degree:
A master’s degree is higher level coursework focused more strictly on the topic of study than the more rounded bachelor’s which it follows. Duration of study and requirements vary; common is 2 to 6 years beyond your bachelor’s.
A doctorate is the highest level of formal education, usually accomplished after a master’s degree. It is higher level study and often more theoretical/experimental, requiring more in-depth study and thought than prior degrees, and often requires publishing an original thesis to "add to the sum of knowledge in your field", and defending it against a panel of experts. It can take an additional 2 to 10 years to complete.
Actual durations and requirements will vary depending on where and what you study, and your own capabilities.
