She keeps attaching herself to the tank above water level for about 10 minutes at a time. No other fish seems to be aggressively chasing her, I have 3 mollies,4 small algae eater, and 1 platy. So does anyone have suggestions on why she might be hopping out?
Why does my female betta jump up out of the water ?

All fish can jump my pink kissing gouramis do it every time i do a partial water change just make sure you have the lid on the tank
my male has been doing the same thing.. and i have no idea why. it scares the crap out of me though!
same mine does it 2 when ever she does it i just grap her gently and put her back
If your fish is doing this in the same area each time there might be something above the water line that she is mistaking for a food item.
They do jump short distances in the wild to catch insects that are on plants near the waters surface, try rearranging your cords and air lines to see if that stops the behavior.
If that doesn’t work you may just have a jumper on your hands and all you can do is make sure that you have a secure lid on the tank and make sure the water level is near the top so she doesn’t suction to the glass and dry out.
Good Luck.
Betta’s breathe air instead of using their gills so she may just find it easier to stay there rather than coming to the top constantly.
You didn’t ask this but 4 small algae eaters are going to turn into 4 very large algae eaters and they can become very aggressive towards other fish.

They are jumpers.. which means they will jump
its something to do — most bettas never jump but when one figures out how to jump it never stops. its really best to keep a cover on them.
