Why do many women in Eastern Europe use abortions as a primary means of birth control?

Why would that be a problem? Are those women less healthy than other women? Are multiple abortions really bad for a woman’s body.

  • Know It All says:

    Ignorance.

  • Blue-Eyed Christian says:

I don’t know that women are all using it as a primary means of birth control. I’ve heard that Russia has the highest abortion rate in the world – evidently about 50% of all pregnancies there end in an abortion. Scary. I don’t know what’s wrong with them but it’s a massacre. And yes, multiple abortions are bad for you. Even one is risky.

  • CAE says:

Because they do not know how to keep their legs crossed

  • drkangel210e says:

Yes, multiple abortions can cause problems with having children at a later date.

The only reason I can conceive why someone would use abortion as a form of birth control is if it’s more readily available than other means of birth control like condoms, IUD’s and the pill.

  • Cathy says:

    Because they are murderous assholes.
They need to learn to keep their damn legs closed.
If you conceive and really don’t want a baby, GIVE IT UP FOR ADOPTION, don’t kill it.

  • Gambit says:

Because in Europe THEY actually realize that birth control is 100% a woman’s personal issue and nobody elses…unlike this country. And now this probably brings up the debate whether this is considered "murder" or not. And I find that hypocritical on so many levels because we selfishly consider ourselves "sacred human life" yet when we do this to a chicken, its not considered an abortion…its considered an omlette. Abortion ought to be a women’s personal choice and nobody elses because last I checked those that do claim they "care about saving the pre-born" only care about it when its a fetus. But after that its completly on its own…

Birth control and abortion is such a personal issue and should be a womans own personal decision…some of you religious people are probably going to thumbs me down on this but this is my honest opinion for abortion.

  • Rachel B says:

I don’t know there are so many abortions in europe but I do know that the more abortions a woman has, the more she is at risk for later miscarriages and breast cancer.

Cathy, calling someone someone a murderous asshole is a great example of Christianity!!!

  • Zahavah says:

Some of them are poor , others are promiscuous , some don’t know , others are misinformed and others don’t care that the Eastern European birth rates have fallen beyond replacement level

  • lipgloss-junkie says:

My guess would be a lack of access or knowledge of actual birth control methods. I really doubt these women are choosing abortions over the pill.

  • RoVale says:

I don’t know what the situation is like currently but in the past, Russian women had on average, nine abortions in their lifetime. That was due to a lack of access to contraceptives and poor sex education.

  • Juniper says:

Abortions done in the first few months are safe and better than bringing a kid in the world that one cannot take care of.

  • Claire [Socially Retarded :D] says:

    I agree with Gambit.
